Lisa JensenFounder/The "Stork" LadyLisa founded Stork Support of Northern Colorado shortly after giving birth to her first child. Just weeks after their child's birth, her husband was laid off and they found themselves without an income.
Fortunately enough, the couple had plenty of support from friends and family during this stressful time. But not having the income, feeling stressed about what the future will hold AND having to take care of the newborn made Lisa realize that there are mothers in our community that don't have the support and were in so much more need than she was. Lisa has always been an individual to help a community out and to volunteer for organizations she was passionate about. So she began to get in touch with mothers-to-be on Facebook groups and asking them what they were in need of in order to feel "ready" for the arrival of their child. As her own son was outgrowing diapers and clothes, she gifted these to the moms who needed them more than she did. While closely watching various Facebook Buy/Sell/Free groups, Lisa realized that there was a large gap between families who were giving away baby items for free and the families she knew of who really needed them, but never saw these Facebook posts. So she started to collect these free items and delivered them to the families who were in need. Stork Support of Northern Colorado was created. |

Nikola ReinfeldsExecutive DirectorNikola took on Stork Support in 2021. She had volunteered with Lisa since 2018 and it gave her purpose during a challenging time of becoming a stay at home mom in a new place. In 2020, she became a client herself when her family welcomed home an unexpected bundle of joy, her third baby. When our founder, Lisa, said she'd have to close Stork Support to prepare for her move to Germany, Nikola couldn't allow that to happen. She worked to turn Stork Support into a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and officially was granted that status in March 2021. Her home houses all the in-season clothing items, event items, diapers, wipes, formula and more! Her dream is to continue to grow Stork Support while keeping true to its heart - families helping families always.
